A graduate in Jazz Studies from the Universidad Veracruzana and trained through 7 diploma programs (in improvisation, double bass, neuromusicology, applied theory, and ensembles), Juan Carlos fuses technical excellence with educational innovation. His career includes a Berklee Latino scholarship (2016) and training with Jazz at Lincoln Center (CENART, 2017), as well as 11 recognitions from institutions like Rec Música, Berklee, y Universidad Anáhuac.

As an educator,

He serves as Technical Coordinator at Rec Música Centro de Estudios Musicales and teaches electric bass and arranging, where he encourages student self-expression through creative practices. His approach interweaves neuroscience, pedagogy, and sonic experimentation.

As a producer and creative leader, he is co-founder of:

  A label, production house, and social-educational project that connects global artists.

• Sistema Sonar

  A Mexican instrumental rock band exploring contemporary sonic narratives.
